ST JOHN’S, NL — IceCaps right-winger Michael McCarron has been recalled by the Montreal Canadiens.

The 20-year-old leads the IceCaps in goals (13) and is second in points (24). The Macomb, Michigan native currently sits third in the American Hockey League rookie scoring race. The six-foot-six, 231-pounder was selected in the first round, 25th overall by the Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

McCarron has no NHL experience.
