ST. JOHN’S, NL (March 3, 2016) – Montreal Canadiens and St. John’s IceCaps General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the IceCaps have signed left-winger Andrew Yogan to a 25-game Professional Tryout contract (PTO).

The 24-year-old has scored 40 points in 32 games with the ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones this season, after previous stints in 2015-16 with the American Hockey League’s Syracuse Crunch (two goals in four games) and Iowa Wild (four points in 16 games).

The six-foot-three, 205-pound native of Coral Springs, FL was drafted in the fourth round, 100th overall, by the New York Rangers in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

ST. JOHN’S, NL (February 25, 2016) – Montreal Canadiens and St. John’s IceCaps General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the IceCaps have released right-winger Evan Rankin from a 25-game Professional Tryout contract (PTO).

Rankin, a six-foot-one, 185-pounder was scoreless in three games with the IceCaps. The 29-year-old previously scored 14 points in 15 games with the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye, after registering seven points in 24 games to start the season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League (AHL).

MONTREAL, QC — On Wednesday evening the Canadiens announced that forward Jacob de la Rose has been recalled from the St. John’s IceCaps. In 30 games in the American Hockey League this season, the 20-year-old has amassed four goals and seven assists.

In addition, the Arvika, Sweden native has previously suited up for three games with the Canadiens this season during his most recent stint with the team in January. It is expected that de la Rose will meet his teammates in Buffalo, ahead of Friday night’s match-up against the Sabres.

The recall of de la Rose coincides with the announcement that Brian Flynn is expected to miss six to eight weeks of action after suffering a lower-body injury on February 9 against the Lightning.

ST. JOHN’S, NL (January 16, 2016) – Montreal Canadiens and St. John’s IceCaps General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the IceCaps have released forward Eric Neilson from a 25-game Professional Tryout contract (PTO).

Chosen by the Los Angeles Kings with the 143rd overall selection in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, the six-foot-two, 205-pounder played six games with the IceCaps this season, registering nine penalty minutes.

The Fredericton, N.B. native broke into the AHL in 2007-08 with the Peoria Rivermen and has also skated with Hamilton, San Antonio and Norfolk, totalling 280 games, 17 points and 857 penalty minutes.

ST. JOHN’S, NL – Montreal Canadiens and St. John’s IceCaps General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the IceCaps have assigned forward Brandon McNally to the Brampton Beast of the ECHL.

The IceCaps signed McNally to an American Hockey League contract for the 2015-16 season in May. The 21-year-old has collected one goal and two assists in 23 games with St. John’s.

The six-foot-two, 210-pounder played 11 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs last season and spent the previous four seasons at Dartmouth College (ECAC).

ST. JOHN’S, NL (December 15, 2015) Montreal Canadiens and St. John’s IceCaps General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the IceCaps have signed right-winger Eric Neilson to a 25-game Professional Tryout contract (PTO).

St. John’s originally signed Neilson to a PTO on October 16th and he has collected nine penalty minutes in five games with the IceCaps.

ST. JOHN’S, NL (November 26, 2015) – Montreal Canadiens and St. John’s IceCaps General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have reassigned forward Tim Bozon to the IceCaps from the Brampton Beast of the ECHL.

Bozon recorded an assist in four games with the Beast but has not seen any action with the IceCaps so far this season.

The St. Louis, Mo. native was drafted in the 3rd round, 64th overall by the Canadiens in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Bozon, who signed a three-year entry level contract in May 2013, played his amateur hockey with the Western Hockey League’s Kootenay Ice and Kamloops Blazers.
