HAMILTON, ON — It’s finally time for Bulldogs Hockey!

The Hamilton Bulldogs kick off the 2014-15 regular season tonight in Rochester as they take on the 1-0-0 Americans at the Blue Cross Arena, with the puck dropping shortly after 7:00 p.m.

The Americans played last night against in a 6-1 win over the AHL’s new Adirondack Flames. There were some very questionable decisions in that game, most notably when Flames’ Trevor Gillies slammed  Buffalo Sabres prospect William Carrier’s head into the ice a handful of times. You can read more about the Americans 6-1 blowout here.

The Bulldogs enter tonight’s tilt with a clean slate. The disappointing 2013-14 season is now behind them and a new year is about to get underway. The Bulldogs have had a busy offseason acquiring new players to try and bolster their forward core and defensive units.

There is no secret that the Dogs’ lacked depth last year, so they attempted to fix that issue for this season in acquiring T.J. Hensick, Jake Dowell, Drayson Bowman and Eric Tangradi. All players that can help bring size, scoring and leadership to the table.

Projected Line Combinations and Defence Pairings

Bowman – Andrighetto – Tangradi
Sorkin – Hensick – Thomas
Hudon – De La Rose – Carr
Dumont – Macenauer – Dowell

Drewskie – Pateryn
Bennett – Nygren
Finley – Dietz

Extra – Ellis – Shea
